The Dane County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday that deputies have arrested a man in connection with several break-ins in the village of Cambridge.

Authorities arrested Christopher C. Medina, 21, according to Elise Schaffer, spokeswoman for the Dane County Sheriff's Department.

Schaffer said Medina is suspected of targeting Cambridge Auto Repair between Sept. 10 and Nov. 4.

Authorities said the business located at 501 Verburg St. has been broken into approximately eight times. Vehicles at the business have received extensive damage, and numerous items such as car stereo equipment have been stolen, authorities said.

Schaffer said Medina has been tentatively charged with four counts of criminal damage to property, two counts of possession of stolen property and theft.

Medina is being held in the Dane County Jail.
