A suspect wearing a mask and carrying a gun entered a Walgreens on the 3700 block of East Washington Avenue just after 1:15 a.m., police said.

During the robbery, one gunshot was fired. There were customers and employees in the store at the time, but police said no one was hurt.

Police said surveillance video shows that the suspect headed to the pharmacy, where he leapt over the counter and then chased a pharmacist.

The suspect fired the gun and then fled the store, police said.

Police processed the scene for evidence, but are continuing to investigate.

Authorities said that anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
