A Reedsburg teen who helped create a drug disposal program is one of five finalists for "Best Helper" in the "Golden Lunchable Awards" sponsored by Kraft Foods.

Jordyn Schara helped create Wisconsin Prescription Pill and Drug Disposal, or Wisconsin P2D2, which keeps unused prescription drugs out of Reedsburg's water and drugs out of the hands of teens.

The program held its inaugural event on Sept. 12, at the Reedsburg Police Station. Schara organized the disposal of 441 pounds of pharmaceuticals during the inaugural event.

People can vote for the Reedsburg High School freshman, who is finalist No. 2, at this Web site.
