SPRINGDALE, Wis. -- Fire officials are calling a Springdale bar a total loss after a fire destroyed it overnight.

Dane County deputies and Mount Horeb firefighters were dispatched to the Bar Above on Highway G at about 3:04 a.m. for a structure fire. Firefighters from Verona and New Glarus also assisted.

When they arrived, deputies found the business fully engulfed. Authorities said no one was in the business at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities said.

Fire officials said the business is a total loss estimated at $120,000.
