Fire Causes $75,000 In Damage To Waunakee Home

WAUNAKEE, Wis. -- Investigators said that a house fire on Tuesday afternoon likely began in a clothes dryer.Smoke from the dryer's exhaust led neighbors to call 911.Waunakee firefighters searched the home for a boy who was thought to be inside, but he was later found at a friends house, authorities said.While no injuries were reported, a family cat died in the blaze.The damage is estimated at about $75,000, officials said.
