A Lancaster woman was killed after her car swerved off the road and then hit an oncoming SUV this weekend, according to Grant County authorities.

Julie Weber, 52, was pronounced dead at Grant Regional Hospital.

Authorities said she was driving north on County Highway N, when her Ford Focus left the highway, crossed Short Cut road, then came back onto the highway sideways before crashing into James Vollmar, 72.

Police said Weber wasn't wearing a seatbelt, but Vollmar was. Vollmar was taken to the Gunderson Lutheran Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
