Suspect In Sun Prairie Shooting Released On Electronic Monitoring
Police Say Clay Connected With Drive-By Style Shooting

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- A 17-year-old boy who Sun Prairie police said they believe is connected to a drive-by-style shooting last weekend has been released on electronic monitoring.Darren Clay was in Dane County Court on Wednesday to face charges of discharging a firearm in a vehicle and three counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.Police said that Clay fired shots at a car near Highway C and Hopeker Road in Sun Prairie on Sunday, injuring a man and an infant with broken glass. No one was shot.The court commissioner set cash bail at $5,000 per charge, but bail was allowed to revert to a signature bond with Clay participating in the electronic monitoring program.Clay is expected to be in court again for a status conference on Oct. 19.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
