Woman Found Friday

Updated: 5:44 pm CDT September 21, 2009

The Marquette County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 68-year-old woman on Friday that authorities are calling suspicious.

The woman, Ruth Deiter, was found in her home in the Town of Packwaukee. Authorities said that a neighbor called 911 at about 10:30 a.m. on Friday about an "unresponsive" neighbor.

Investigators said that they don't believe the woman was a victim of a home invasion, but they're not saying if the incident was random.

According to a county news release, investigators are working with the State Crime Lab Laboratory as they look into the women's death.

Authorities are waiting for autopsy results, WISC-TV reported.

The small community is located in the center of Marquette County.
