Family Pets Die In Structure Fire

TOWN OF COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. -- A Cottage Grove family lost two pets in a house fire Thursday night.Fire crews were called to a mobile home in the 4200 block of Vilas Hope Road in the Town of Cottage Grove around 9 p.m.Investigators said the fire started in the kitchen area and crews were able to knock it down soon after arriving on scene.Three people were home when the fire started -- each one made it out safely and no injuries were reported.The family's dog and cat did not survive.Exact damage estimates are not yet known.
