JANESVILLE, Wis. -

Janesville police said they made two arrests for fifth-offense operating while intoxicated between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

An officer said he pulled over a vehicle at 5:32 p.m. Saturday when he noticed it had an almost flat tire, defective exhaust system and had made an unsafe lane deviation.

Timothy Graesslin, 52, of Janesville, failed field sobriety tests, and a breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.22 percent, according to police.

Another vehicle was pulled over at 2:42 a.m. when an officer said he saw the vehicle driving erratically while turning north onto Milton Avenue from East Centerway Street. He said the vehicle nearly struck a second vehicle when it left its lane.

Bruce W. Southhall, 30, failed a field sobriety test and admitted to drinking two to three mixed alcohol drinks, according to police.

Because of prior convictions, both men were arrested on suspicion of fifth-offense OWI.
