Jury Finds 'Dream Slasher' Guilty Of Attempted Murder
Defense Considering An Appeal

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County jury took about two hours to find Erin Cottrell guilty of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
Erin Cottrell said he was dreaming when he attacked and stabbed his wife last May.Deborah Cottrell (pictured, right) shed tears as the verdict was read. She was sitting with her parents.Neither family wanted to comment after the verdict.
"I think based on the testimony of the experts, this was a good decision," prosecuting attorney David Maas said.The defense said that it is considering an appeal.
