MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police are searching for a man who allegedly hopped the counter of a downtown Madison gas station and took cash right out of the register.

Officers said the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at the PB gas station on South Park Street.

The station's clerk told police the suspect asked for change in quarters then jumped over the counter, grabbed some money and took off on foot.
