A Dane County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a crash with a suspected drunken driver.

The incident happened at the intersection of county highways N and B in the Town of Pleasant Springs on Tuesday night.

Officials said a suspected drunken driver crossed the centerline and hit the squad car. The deputy, who was traveling with the department's dog, tried to avoid the crash but the vehicle was hit in the rear panel.

Stoughton police arrested the driver, a 43-year-old Oregon woman.

The deputy was treated for minor injuries. The dog wasn't injured.

The squad was totaled.
