Janesville police are searching for a suspect after officers were sent to a bank robbery that occurred at Mid America Bank on Milton Avenue late Monday afternoon.

An unidentified man presented the bank teller with a note demanding money, police said. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the robber fled on foot, heading north through the parking lot of the Taasbag Bar.

The robber didn't display a weapon, and the teller wasn't injured during the robbery, police said. Mid America Bank provided still photos of the suspect, which were captured by the bank's surveillance cameras.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s to early 30s. He has brown hair, brown eyes and brown facial hair. Police said the suspect is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.

Authorities said that anyone with information is asked to call Janesville Crimestoppers.
