Meriter, St. Mary's Hospitals Add Facilities

MADISON, Wis. -- Two Madison-area hospitals are expanding to give more options for patients.St. Mary's is opening a new emergency center in Sun Prairie. The 24-hour care facility will save patients time in an emergency situation. Sun Prairie residents used to have to drive into Madison to go to St. Mary's Hospital on Park Street.Meriter Hospital celebrated the opening of a new surgical wing. It features eight new state-of-the-art surgical rooms. The 16,000 square foot facility costs $12.5 million.
