Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Animal Mistreatment

MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police took a woman into custody after she allegedly stabbed her 3-month-old German shepherd puppy because it wouldn't stop yelping and barking.Police responded to a disturbance call at a Madison apartment after she called for help, claiming a male friend stabbed the dog.But police said officers determined the 46-year-old woman cut the puppy's neck with a knife and then said she tried to help the animal by pouring iodine on the wound and closing it with fast-drying glue.The dog was taken to an emergency animal clinic.The woman was arrested on suspicion of animal mistreatment.
