Man Arrested In Connection With Fitchburg Stabbing
Man Suffered Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

FITCHBURG, Wis. -- Fitchburg police said Friday that a suspect they were searching for in connection with a stabbing Thursday night has been arrested.Police said John White, 57, of Fitchburg, turned himself in to officers Friday. Police said he is tentatively charged with recklessly endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 4500 block of Thurston Lane.Officers said they found a man in his 50s with stab wounds to the neck and back when they arrived at the scene.Police said they don't believe the stabbing was a random act.The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Police said Thursday night that they had identified White as a suspect in the stabbing and were searching for him.
