Police: Masked Man Arrested For Carrying Backpack Full Of Pot

Suspect Being Held In Dane County Jail

Madison police arrested a masked man on suspicion of carrying a backpack full of marijuana on the city's West Side on Monday morning.

An officer spotted the man early in the morning on Muir Field wearing a dark mask. Officers began canvassing the area and found a backpack filled with four pounds of marijuana, and $300 in cash.

Vadim B. Srug was found in the bushes, authorities said.

He is currently being held in Dane County Jail, facing charges of possession, along with intent to distribute.
