Jury Picked Elsewhere In Janesville Triple Slaying Case

Mother, Two Children Killed In January 2007

Updated: 10:53 am CDT June 11, 2009

Jurors will be picked outside Rock County to hear the case against a man accused of killing a neighbor and her two teenage children.

Circuit Court Judge Alan Bates granted a defense request to have an outside jury brought to Rock County for the homicide trial of James Koepp.

The 50-year-old Janesville man is accused of killing Danyetta Lentz, her 17-year-old daughter, Nicole, and her 14-year-old son, Scott, in their mobile home in January 2007.

Bates agreed with defense attorney Walter Isaacson who argued Koepp couldn't get a fair trial with local jurors because of extensive media coverage of the case.
