Family Searches As Husband Reportedly In Mexico

Posted: 1:21 pm EST February 7, 2003Updated: 1:59 pm EST February 8, 2003

Family and friends of a missing Modesto woman were out searching for her again Saturday morning.

Laci Peterson, 27, disappeared the day before Christmas.

Volunteers will be searching the Delta-Mendota Canal area, west of Modesto, going over several previously searched areas looking for any signs of the expectant mother.

Her due date is Monday.

Volunteers are planning to search a series of different places over the next three Saturdays.

Peterson's husband, Scott, who admitted having an affair, has not been named as a suspect in the case, but police have not ruled him out.

Scott reportedly left the country and is in Mexico for a work-related conference.

Laci's family recently spoke out about Scott after learning he had sold her Range Rover and traded it in for a new pickup truck. The family had the vehicle returned to them from the dealership.
