New Search For Missing Calif. Woman Begins
Family Searches As Husband Reportedly In Mexico

MODESTO, Calif. -- Family and friends of a missing Modesto woman were out searching for her again Saturday morning.
Laci Peterson, 27, disappeared the day before Christmas.Volunteers will be searching the Delta-Mendota Canal area, west of Modesto, going over several previously searched areas looking for any signs of the expectant mother.Her due date is Monday.Volunteers are planning to search a series of different places over the next three Saturdays.Peterson's husband, Scott, who admitted having an affair, has not been named as a suspect in the case, but police have not ruled him out.Scott reportedly left the country and is in Mexico for a work-related conference.Laci's family recently spoke out about Scott after learning he had sold her Range Rover and traded it in for a new pickup truck. The family had the vehicle returned to them from the dealership.
