Trial Starts For Madison Man Accused In Shooting Death
James Bohanan Charged With First-Degree Intentional Homicide

MADISON, Wis. -- Opening statements were held Tuesday in Dane County Court in the trial for the man accused of shooting another to death in July 2007.James P. Bohanan is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. Police said he shot Kevin Cobbins, 26, in the driveway of a Loreen Drive duplex on Madison's West Side. Cobbins was from Waunakee.Authorities said Bohanan eluded police for nearly a year before a tip lead detectives to a Chicago home in May 2008.The trial is expected to last about one week.
