Thunderstorms Might Produce High Winds, Heavy Rainfall

MADISON, Wis. -- Much of the state basked in 80-degree warmth Friday, but possible severe thunderstorms are in the forecast this weekend.The National Weather Service said a cold front moving in from the north has set the stage for possible severe thunderstorms statewide through the weekend.WISC-TV meteorologist Gary Cannalte said Saturday evening will be mostly cloudy and cooler with scattered showers and a low temperature of 44.Cannalte said Sunday will be mostly cloudy, windy and turn milder with occasional showers and thunderstorms.He said some thunderstorms Sunday might be severe with high winds and heavy rainfall, especially in the afternoon. The high on Sunday will be 64 degrees, Cannalte said.He said Sunday night will be mostly cloudy, breezy and mild with occasional showers and thunderstorms.
