Madison Convenience Store Evacuated Over Bomb Scare

No Bomb Found

Madison police are investigating a bomb scare that prompted the evacuation of a convenience store Tuesday night.

An anonymous caller first alerted workers at the Citgo gas station in the 2200 block of Fordem Avenue on Madison's north-east side, near Maple Bluff. Authorities said a second call reporting a bomb was taken by the 911 Center around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Fordem Avenue was closed briefly as a precaution and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the store.

No bomb was found, WISC-TV reported.
