Posted: 2:44 pm CST January 7, 2009

Authorities said carbon monoxide poisoning might have caused the death of a Fond du Lac County man who was working on his snowblower in his garage.

A sheriff's deputy was sent to check on the man in Peebles Tuesday after he failed to show up for work.

The man, who lived alone, was found sitting in a chair in his garage. Authorities said it appears he was working on his snowblower when he was overcome. The garage door was partially open.
