Small Plane Lands On Madison Golf Course
Pilot Wasn't Hurt

MADISON, Wis. -- A small plane ran out of fuel before reaching the Dane County Regional Airport and had to land at a nearby golf course.A Dane County 911 Center supervisor said that the plane was about 200 yards short of the airport about 11 p.m. on Tuesday when the pilot made a hard landing at Bridges Golf Course to the south.The twin-engine Cessna aircraft was on a flight from Appleton to Milwaukee was diverted to Madison because of the weather.The pilot was the only person on board and wasn't injured.The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
