MADISON, Wis. -- WISC-TV meteorologist Jeff Smith is facing felony charges in Sauk County Court of incest of a child.

According to court records, the charges stem from an alleged incident in November 2007 involving a family member.

Smith's lawyer, Madison attorney Stephen Eisenberg, said that Smith denies the allegations.

"Jeff's been a member of this community for 20 years. The people of Madison know him. He unequivocally and completely denies these allegations. He's a good father," Eisenberg said.

The 44-year-old Smith is suspended from his position at WISC-TV as the station looks into the matter.
