Zimmermann Family Releases New Statement

Statement Comes On Slain Student's 22nd Birthday

On what would have been slain University of Wisconsin-Madison student Brittany Zimmermann's 22nd birthday, her family continues to look for answers to why she was killed.

Zimmermann was killed in April. ON Saturday, her family released a statement in honor of her birthday along with another plea for anyone with information to come forward, WISC-TV reproted.

The statement read: "We thank you for your ongoing support with the Brittany Zimmermann Reward Fund. Life without Brittany has led to daily tears and an empty heart and we will never stop searching or fighting for justice for her."

The Reward Fund is currently at $14,000, with an additional $1,000 available from Madison Area Crime Stoppers.

Authorities said that anyone with information on the Zimmermann case is asked to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
