Two Drivers Charged With Drunken Driving After Head-On Collision

Both Men Flown To Rockford Hospital

Alcohol was one of the reasons behind a head-on collision in Rock County early Sunday morning, according to Rock County sheriff's deputies.

Authorities said a 17-year-old was driving on Highway 51, near Townline Road, in Beloit at about 2:30 a.m. when the car crossed into the oncoming lane and struck another vehicle.

The second vehicle was being driven by Joshua Krueger, 35.

Both drivers were flown by Med Flight to Rockford Memorial Hospital. Krueger is listed in critical condition and was also arrested for his second drunken driving offense, WISC-TV reported.

The 17-year-old driver is listed in serious condition and is also being charged with drunken driving and causing injury.
