3 UW-Madison Police Officers Involved In Fight

A University of Wisconsin-Madison police officer used a Taser gun on a Badger fan and arrested her after a fight with three UW-Madison police officers at Camp Randall during the football game on Saturday.

UW-Madison police said Margaret Hiebing, 54, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest while her husband, Roman Hiebing Jr., 65, was charged with disorderly conduct.

UW-Madison said the fight between the Hiebings and the officers started when too many people were trying to sit in Row 69 of Section U on the stadium's east side. Police said Margaret Hiebing was sitting in the aisle at Camp Randall Stadium and wouldn't go to her seat shortly after kickoff.

UW-Madison police said that when officers tried to handcuff Margaret Hiebing, she started kicking and screaming, prompting one of the officers to use a Taser gun on her.

UW-Madison police said the department will conduct a "use of force" review about the discharging of a Taser gun, but no disciplinary action has been taken against the officer.
