Authorities Seize Guns, Drugs, Cash At Waunakee Home
Raid Occurred Wednesday Morning

MADISON, Wis. -- State and local investigators said they've broken up a large marijuana growing operation at a Waunakee home.State Justice Department agents, DeForest police and a Dane County Sheriff's SWAT team raided the home Wednesday morning.The Dane County Bomb Squad also assisted in the search warrant based on information that the suspect had "booby trapped" the area surrounding the marijuana plants, according to a news release from the attorney general's office.They discovered more than 60 marijuana plants. The basement, a detached garage and an area next to a cornfield had been converted into growing areas.According to a news release, during the execution of the warrant, the suspect alerted agents and investigators as to the locations of the booby traps that were surrounding the outdoor marijuana plants before any injuries occurred.Agents seized 41 guns and $12,000 as well as drug paraphernalia, computers and documents. One person was arrested.
