Lake Delton Spends $210,000 To Clear Dry Lake Bed
Contractors Work To Remove Vegetation

LAKE DELTON, Wis. -- The Village of Lake Delton will spend $210,000 to fix the dried out lake bed.On Monday, the village clerk approved an additional $95,000 to remove vegetation that has been growing in the lake bed all summer.Contractors have been spraying dry areas of the bed with chemicals for the past month to remove the grass, weeds and saplings that have taken root.The state Department of Natural Resources won't give the village permission to spray wet areas because of possible damage.
