The first step in a likely lawsuit against the Village of Lake Delton was formally presented to the Village Board on Monday night.

The village attorney told WISC-TV the board will likely forward the lawsuit on to their insurance company for a recommendation.

Dick Cross said the board has four months to act on it but will likely make a decision within a few weeks.

Some lot owners, who lost homes, said the breach could have been prevented. Village officials deny that.
