The bar is located at 110 W. State St. in Mauston.

The Juneau County Sheriff's Department said four fire departments were called in to fight the blaze: Mauston Fire Department, New Lisbon Fire Department, Elroy Fire Department and the Lyndon Station Fire Department.

Authorities said a grease fire started in the kitchen and spread in the kitchen and to the walls.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings, though three buildings sustained smoke and water damage. A firewall and firefighters' efforts kept the blaze from spreading, WISC-TV reported.

A fireman from the Mauston Fire Department and one from the Lyndon Station Fire Department were sent to the Mile Bluff Medical Center after suffering from extreme heat and smoke, according to a Mauston Police Department news release.

No other injuries were reported.

Residents in an upstairs apartment displaced due to the fire are now living in a nearby hotel.

Highways 82-58 and 12-16 were closed for nearly twelve hours due to the fire but were reopened Saturday morning.
