Authorities have identified the body of a man pulled from Lake Monona on Sunday.

Authorities identified the victim as Juan Cathey, 36, of Milwaukee.

WISC-TV spoke with family members who said Cathey regularly went fishing with them.

Dane County sheriff's officials said a caller reported seeing a body floating off the shoreline near Law Park about 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

Crews found the submerged body of a man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said it appears to be an accidental drowning, but the cause of death is still unknown.
