2-Vehicle Crash On Hwys. 151, PD Kills 3

MADISON, Wis. -- A fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 151 and Highway PD killed three people late Wednesday afternoon.
VIDEO: Watch The ReportThe crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. and involved two vehicles, one of which crossed the median, according to Mt. Horeb Fire Department spokesman Kent Kietzke.According to a Dane County Sheriff's deputy on scene, a vehicle traveling westbound on 151 crossed the median, then hit a car traveling eastbound head-on.The three passengers in the westbound vehicle were killed, according to the sheriff's department.Dane County Sheriff's Department officials said the driver and lone occupant in the second vehicle was injured, but did not know if the injuries were life-threatening at this time.The highway has since been reopened according to the sheriff's department.A spokesperson for the sheriff's department said that anyone who was driving Highway 18/151 between 4 and 4:15 p.m. in that area and might have information to further their investigation should call Dane County dispatch at 255-2345.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
