Fire Destroys Barn In Columbia County

Barn Is Total Loss

An early-morning fire destroyed a barn in Columbia County Monday.

The fire at the barn on Highway Q in the town of Arlington started around 5 a.m. during a thunderstorm.

It's unknown if the fire was caused by lightning, but authorities said the barn appears to be a total loss.

Fire officials are investigating to determine if any animals were killed in the blaze.
