Truck Goes Into Creek Near Verona

Incident Occurred Wednesday

A grandfather and his two grandkids had a scare Wednesday when the truck they were riding in ended up in a creek.

The incident happened on Old County PB near Verona.

A pickup truck being driven by the 60-year-old driver missed a slight curve, hit a guardrail and went airborne into the creek. Water came up to the door handles of the truck, WISC-TV reported.

A witness called for 911 and all three individuals in the truck were taken to University of Wisconsin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
