Motorcycle Crash Kills 1, Snarls Interstate Traffic

MADISON, Wis. -- A motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday in a crash that snarled traffic on Interstate 39/90.The Wisconsin State Patrol said that a car was traveling northbound on Interstate 90 when a tire blew out, causing the driver, Jeffrey Angileri, 24, of Elkhorn, to lose control and strike a motorcyclist.Both vehicles came to rest in the ditch. Med Flight was requested, and it transported the motorcyclist, a 60-year-old Milton man, to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.The driver of the car wasn't injured. The identity of the man killed in the collision is being withheld pending notification of his family.Northbound lanes were closed and traffic was significantly delayed on the interstate near the city of Stoughton due to a reconstruction of the crash.The state patrol said that traffic flow was returned to normal at 2:14 p.m.The crash remains under investigation.Stay tuned to WISC-TV and Channel 3000 for continuing coverage.
