Family, Friends Mark Anniversary Of Nolan's Disappearance

Waunakee Woman Found Dead Last Summer

Updated: 6:01 pm CDT June 23, 2008

While the police investigation continues, Monday marks the one-year anniversary when University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student Kelly Nolan disappeared from downtown Madison. The 22-year-old was later found dead.

The search for the missing Waunakee native began last summer. Nolan was reported missing on June 23, 2007, after a night of partying in downtown Madison. Her body was found on July 9, 2007, in a wooded area near Schneider Drive in the Town of Dunn.

While police continue to investigate, Nolan's family and friends held a gathering earlier this month at Centennial Park in Waunakee.

Since the body's discovery, no suspects have been named and no charges have been filed in her death.
