Updated: 6:25 pm CDT May 22, 2008

A preliminary hearing date was set Thursday for a Baraboo father accused of killing his twin 5-week-old children.

David Yates has been charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide after the two babies were found dead in his home.

Earlier this month, a Sauk County judge gave Yates' attorney the right to search his client's home for evidence.

Testimony on whether the case should be sent to trial will begin on June 9.
