VILLAGE OF BAGLEY, Wis. -- Property owners in the Grant County Village of Bagley have filed a class action lawsuit against a railroad alleging that the railroad's actions contributed to the flooding there last summer. In the lawsuit filed Friday, the plaintiffs seek millions of dollars lost when homes, cars and personal belongings were destroyed by flood waters on July 18, 2007.Roughly 50 plaintiffs contend that the railroad, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, blocked rainfall from passing through its bridge in Bagley, causing flooding and sewage backups.
