Madison School Board Passes Budget

Spokesman: Budget Mirrors Rainwater's Recommendations

The Madison Metropolitan School District Board of Education passed a tentative budget on Monday night.

District spokesman Ken Syke said that the $367.6 million budget is very similar to what Superintendent Art Rainwater recommended with a few amendments.

The budget, which covers the 2008-2009 school year, passed unanimously, Syke said.
