A Dane County Jail inmate is missing after he was released for a medical appointment on Sunday afternoon.

The Dane County sheriff said that Gary Lee Nelson Jr. was released for the appointment at 2:20 p.m., but he never showed up.

Nelson is serving a 90-day sentence for theft, WISC-TV reported.

Authorities said that Nelson also uses the names Joshua Humbach and Tyler Deurloo and has ties to the Williamson Street area of Madison.
