MADISON, Wis. -- Police chased a man driving a car on Madison's East Side for several minutes on Sunday afternoon but the suspect ultimately got away.

The pursuit began at about 5:30 p.m. after a detective said that he spotted a man with outstanding felony warrants, WISC-TV reported.

After a nine-minute chase, police opted to stop, saying it became too dangerous to continue. Authorities said that because police know who the man is, they can add the charges on later.
