A Madison man is recovering after the scare of his life.

Doug Hemken, 43, tumbled more than 20 feet Wednesday during a rock climbing trip in Wyoming.

Hemken and his two partners spent the night at the nearly 12,000-foot level of a peak in the Grand Teton National forest before being rescued.

He's now in a Jackson Hospital. His condition isn't known.
