MADISON, Wis. -- Family and friends of Joel Marino are canvassing neighborhoods and distributing flyers with the latest police information on his murder.Amanda Miller, Marino's girlfriend, said she is trying to regain normalcy in her life, but that is an impossible task without knowing what happened to her boyfriend of two years. Marino was fatally stabbed two months ago, but no one has been arrested."I know that I want justice for what happened, I want someone to be held accountable," said Miller. While the time following his death has been difficult, Miller said she is committed to finding the person responsible, WISC-TV reported."I'm really relying on everyone else in the community to help, just because emotionally that's too overwhelming for me to try and take on," she said.Marino's friends went door-to-door and downtown on Sunday posting new flyers with the sketch of the man that investigators said killed Marino, 31, in his home near Park Street in Madison in late January."We don't plan on resting until the person that did this is brought to justice," said Marino's friend, Bryan Bazan.Detectives said that they think the man who killed Marino might live or frequent State Street."We're hoping that this will expand the search a little bit and lend more awareness throughout the community," said Bazan."I want to make this a safer place, this is what Joel would be doing," said Miller.Marino's family is setting up a Joel Marino Memorial Fund. A benefit concert is planned for April 13 at the Majestic Theatre at 7 p.m. Money raised will go towards a music scholarship and automatic defibrillators, WISC-TV reported.
