Supreme Court Justice Butler Releases First TV Ad Of Campaign

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Louis Butler's first television ad in the campaign to keep his seat focuses on his endorsements and doesn't mention his opponent.The ad is the first by either Butler or his opponent, Burnett County Judge Michael Gableman, in the race to be decided April 1. Outside groups have run ads.Butler talks in his ad about endorsements that he's received from more than 200 judges and district attorneys, and groups representing more than 18,000 in law enforcement.The announcer said that Butler has protected people from criminals and consumers from fraud.Gableman has criticized Butler's record on deciding criminal cases.
