Chronic Disease Health Care Coalition Launched In Wisconsin
Group Wants Candidates To Address Issue

MADISON, Wis. -- Health care, business and labor organizations are working together to make the issue of chronic disease a priority in the presidential race.
VIDEO: Watch The ReportThe Wisconsin chapter of the national Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease announced its start Thursday. Its leaders include former Gov. Tommy Thompson and Community Health Charities of Wisconsin CEO Jane Wood.The goal of the nonpartisan coalition is to educate the public about the scope and cost of chronic disease and push presidential candidates to address the issue.Thompson said Wisconsin residents must ensure policy makers advance thoughtful health care policies and that the state must lead by example when it comes to prevention and wellness.
