Updated: 1:17 pm CST January 29, 2008

A woman faces a drunken-driving charge in Dodge County after her boyfriend encouraged her to call 911 during her drive home on Sunday morning.

The woman called 911 on a cell phone, then hung up, WISC-TV in Madison reported.

She got a call back from sheriff's officials and told them her boyfriend, who was a passenger in the car, thought she shouldn't be driving.

According to the 911 phone recordings, the woman said her boyfriend wanted her to call because he thought she was too drunk to drive.

The woman told dispatchers that she was OK to drive and that she was driving because her boyfriend was too drunk.

The woman gave dispatchers a description of her car and her address.

Authorities then went to the woman's home and gave her a citation after she failed a sobriety test.
