MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin could be another step closer to becoming entirely smoke free. The Public Health Committee will take its first legislative vote on a statewide smoke-free workplace on Tuesday. If the bill is passed, smoking would be banned in all workplaces, including restaurants and taverns, WISC-TV reported."It's an incredibly important vote," said Smoke Free Wisconsin Executive Director Maureen Busalacchi. "Wisconsin has not moved this legislation forward. Twenty-two states have already passed it, including Minnesota and Illinois."The Senate organization committee would decide whether the bill would then go to the Senate floor for a vote.
